Wolves Appeal Breen Red Card

The Wolves defender was dismissed by referee Pat Miller after he went up for a challenge with Steve Thompson just 23 minutes into the match at Ninian Park, which Wolves eventually lost 4-0.

"He was showing the assistant referee that he had been caught in a challenge with Steve Thompson," Wolves secretary Richard Skirrow told the club's official website.

"As he spread his arms to describe the event, Thompson approached from behind and was caught in the face by his arm."

Should the appeal fail then Breen will face an automatic three game ban.
