"The exit is deserved, we were out-fought and out-played. It's not often I can say this but we were out-grafted," McCarthy said after the 3-1 defeat at Molineux.
"When the third goal went in we looked a shambles.
"We've had a lot of plaudits in the last 12 months, and last night has brought us back down to earth because we deserved to be booed."
