Wolves boss Mick McCarthy said he felt "robbed" after Daniel Sturridge scored with almost the last kick of the game to give Bolton a 1-0 victory.Sturridge, on loan from Chelsea, capitalised on Ronald Zubar's under-hit pass to score on his Bolton debut.
And McCarthy told BBC Sport: "I feel lousy, I feel robbed.
"I feel we had a point in our pocket and we've given it away. It was self-inflicted after we played all right in the game and scrapped it out."
Defeat for the home side leaves them two points adrift of Wigan at the foot of the Premier League table.
With Manchester United and Arsenal their next two opponents, the prospect of relegation is beginning to loom large for a team who have collected only four points away from home this season.

McCarthy feels too often his team have had only themselves to blame for dropping points at various stages through the season.
"It was self-inflicted at Fulham when we lost a point there [2-1 defeat in September], it was self-inflicted at home against Aston Villa [2-1 defeat in September], at Spurs [3-1 defeat in September], at Manchester United [2-1 defeat in November]... I might go on and on."
He was particularly angry about Wednesday's result against a Bolton side who had gone into the match without a win in their past five league contests.
"To give it away in the manner in which we have, I don't have the words to tell you how bad we feel. There had been a few chances at either end but I think we had all settled for a draw."
It was an eighth league win of the season for Owen Coyle's Bolton that leaves them eighth place in the table.
Coyle was thrilled to see new signing Sturridge, a 67th-minute substitution, make an immediate impression.

"I'm absolutely delighted," said the Bolton boss. "It's always nice when you bring in a player who you believe can score goals and he pops up on his debut to do that.
"We saw what he brought to the game when he came on... he was lively, he's got a trick, he's got composure as we saw with the goal, and it certainly augurs well for both the impact he'll make until the end of the season and for Daniel's future.
"It was a welcome three points. I think it would have been a travesty if we hadn't got them because of the chances we had tonight to get in front.
"We had numerous opportunities, balls whistling past the post, we just needed that bit of composure."
