McCarthy Pleased With Kightly

The on-loan form Grays Athletic striker scored the only goal of the game at Loftus Road to give Wolves a much needed three points.

"Without being disrespectful, we were doing just as much to ourselves as they did to us in the first half, we just weren't competing," McCarthy said after the match.

"I said to Kighty that he should have had four when he came off! He must think I'm hard to please.

"It looks like he's going to score goals because he gets in the box and causes opponents problems. He looks like being a good acquisition.

"It is a big step coming from non-league to the Championship, but players are doing it.

"In the second half, we were the better side. Jody Craddock does what it says on the tin. He's a good competitor and a good captain. He's not the most vocal but he says it all in his performance."
