McCarthy - The Pressure Is On The Others

The 3-0 win against The Saints at the Molineux on Good Friday saw Wolves regain a five point lead at the top of the Championship table over Sheffield United, who won 1-0 at Reading to leapfrog Birmingham into second place in the table on goal difference - the Blues play away at Charlton on Saturday.

"It's three points. It means I can enjoy a bottle of beer and watch everybody else," McCarthy said after Wolves' comprehensive home win.

"It's taken the pressure off me and my players and it's heaped it somewhere else, whoever fancies it they can have it.

"And then we'll take it all back on Monday along with everybody else."

"I'm not anxious about my players. I still believe that we've got good players despite losing those three.

"We've got a good squad, I was more anxious about how Southampton would play to be honest."
