Kightly was in the England Under 21 squad for the Uefa qualifying games on Friday against Bulgaria and Tuesday's trip to Poland but leg injuries have ruled him out and he was sent back to Wolves by the England doctors.
"The England doctor said I could not play on Friday and I was a doubt for Tuesday," he told Wolves official website.
"So the priority for me now is West Brom. I'm confident I'll be okay."
