Wolves winger Michael Kightly's 13-month absence from football has been extended further after he underwent a second knee operation.The 24-year-old has not played for Wolves side since November 2009 because of ongoing injuries, the latest of which has been patella tendon troubles.
He had an operation on his right knee in October and underwent the same procedure on his left knee last week.
"Kights has had his other operation and is buzzing," said boss Mick McCarthy.
Kightly, who joined Wolves from non-league Grays Athletic in 2006, was one of the Black Country side's star performers during their promotion season in 2008-09.

But Kightly managed only 10 appearances during the 2009-10 campaign, with his last game the 1-0 defeat to Birmingham on 29 November.
"It will be the same timescale as the last - six weeks to get him out running and then we will see from there," added McCarthy.
"The first knee he had done is brilliant, he is really buzzing about it, and the left knee that he has just had done wasn't half as bad as the other one."
Wolves have not put a timescale on Kightly's return to first-team action, but to feature in the Premier League this season he would need to be named in McCarthy's 25-man squad at the end of January.
And the Wolves boss gave hope to the player, saying: "We'll see. I don't know that we will have 25 players - it might be that I leave one berth open. We will see, but it would be lovely to have him back."
