Defender Quits International Football

On the day that Ireland coach Steve Styaunton named his latest squad for a friendly against Hollandnext week, the 32-year-old Wolves central defender has decided to retire from international football.

Breen, who joined Wolves on a free transfer in the summer having been released by Sunderland, made his international debut against Croatia in June 1996 and went on to represent his country a total of 63 times.
