Terry Connor has revealed his disappointment having seen his 13-year stint on Wolves' backroom team come to an end this week.
Connor arrived at Molineux in 1999 and has taken on several different coaching roles, most notably a forgetful 13-game spell as first-team manager at the end of last season in which the Black Country club failed to win a single match and were duly relegated from the top flight.
Connor was replaced by new boss Stale Solbakken over the summer but retained as assistant manager, a position he held under Mick McCarthy, yet his links were completely cut on Monday as the Norwegian made what he admitted was an extremely difficult decision.
Despite his hurt, TC, as he is known, admits he will also look back on his time at Wolves fondly and told the official website: "I have spent 13 years working for the club in many varied roles and while there have been plenty of ups and downs along the way I have to say it has been a fantastic time for me.
"I can't deny I am very disappointed with how things have ended but, for the rest of the time, I have loved every minute of working for Wolves.
"There have been some tough challenges for me and the club during those 13 years but I am leaving only with happy memories particularly of the success we have enjoyed in recent years in winning the Championship title and staying in the Premier League for three seasons."
