"It's a fantastic honour to captain a club like Wolverhampton Wanderers," Breen told the club's official website.
"To be truthful, the squad we have is self motivating so there isn't too much need for ranting and raving on the pitch.
"We have a very young squad here and if ever they need any advice or encouragement from me, then they will get it."
