Boss Pleased With A Point

The 0-0 draw at Bloomfield Road leaves Wolves languishing in 12th place in the Championship table but McCarthy has said it is more important where the club are in the table come April time.

"We've been beaten twice in the last two games, so it is an improvement," he said after Tuesday night's match..

"It's a clean sheet and we needed that after conceding the goals that we have done.

"There will be some arguing we should come here and win, but I don't subscribe to that because Blackpool are a decent side.

"There have been a few chances for both sides but at the end of the day I'll take the goalless draw and the point.

"I get a little bit tired of everybody reminding me we're two points, three points or five points away. At the moment, that is a good point for us. Bearing in mind we've just conceded seven goals in two games, it was good to stop the rot.

"I'm not bothered at the moment. It will matter at the end of April and the beginning of May - let's see where we are then," he said.
