Blake netted a number of gems in scoring 22 times last season, but few compared to this truly brilliant effort that cancelled out Shaun Newton's 15th minute opener for the visitors.

A terrible mistake from former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair allowed Newton to nip in and score his first goal for 18 months, but Blake's brilliance meant Wolves' joy was short lived.

Nine minutes later, after being played through by Graham Branch, Blake skipped past two defenders before flicking a shot beyond the despairing dive of Paul Jones.

It brought the Turf Moor crowd to its feet and with good reason.

The Clarets were lucky to escape a penalty claim when Kenny Miller was clearly pushed by John McGreal as he homed in on goal, but the home side completely dominated and should have won with a bit to spare.

Ian Moore, Micah Hyde and Richard Chaplow all went close to finding a winner as Wolves desperately clung on.

The best opportunity to net a winner fell, ironically, to Blake, but presented with a straightforward chance ten yards out he screwed his shot wide of the target and the points were shared.
