Worthington Cup warnings to be heeded

Well we have been warned!

Six Division 1 teams crashed out of the Worthington Cup last against so called 'lesser' opposition.

Stoke, Reading, Grimsby, Norwich, Watford and Bradford went by the way side as they found that the differences between the leagues isn't as wide as they might have previously thought.

The most stunning of the the results came at Carrow Road as Cheltenham turned their hosts over 3-0.

Having read the Norwich website it seems that this has not gone down well at all with Nigel Worthington.

Meanwhile, on the Robins website, they are understandably ecstatic.

Grimsby and Watford also lost at home which is less forgivable than losing away as did Stoke, Reading and Bradford.

Portsmouth had no problem continuing their fine form of late. Leicester, Derby and Wimbledon can take confidence from their eventual healthy scorelines whilst several others came through in less convincing fashion.

All-in-all the warnings are there to be heeded by Wolves ahead of the tie at Swansea tonight.

I can't see any other shocks occuring for other Dvision 1 teams tonight as they are all at home.

Let's just make sure we don't make it unlucky seven.

Come on the Wolves!
