Two more points dropped at the Molineux.

A pretty poor home showing ended in stalemate with Watford last night.

Just as hopes had been raised with consecutive away wins at Ipswich and Preston, fans were once again reminded that there is a long way to go before the top six positions are confirmed.

To my memory Wolves had three real chances to score.

First Cameron had his close range shot saved after about 10 minutes.

Then Miller blazed over from a great cross from Ndah in the second half and finally Kennedy was just the wrong side of the post when he cut inside towards the end of the game.

Watford offered little in terms of threat but defended in numbers and served to frustrate their hosts.

Wolves lacked the penetration as Watford double-teamed Kennedy and with no outlet on the right any creativity was snuffed out at source.

Add to this some woeful passing and it was a game to forget.

There was no one who stood out in gold and black. Perhaps Butler only because he did a steady job and didn’t squander possession, which isn’t saying much.

Ndah and Miller had to resort to playing very deep to try and get into the game. Miller especially seemed to be back to his bad old ways of offside and poor control. However, after the magnificent run he’s been on we can forgive him. His timing wasn’t good though as everyone else had an off day.

Luckily we have been good on our travels but with the likes of Portsmouth, Reading, Forest, Norwich and Sheffield United to play it’s imperative that we get a maximum return from the next two home matches.

Perhaps it’s time for Blake to return and Ndah to use his pace out wide on the right.

With only 14 games remaining expect tensions to rise in the run up to May 4th.

Come on the Wolves!
