Scenario:

Wolves in 15th place, Stoke in 16th – a potential relegation battle?

Stoke’s current form in the league is better than ours – mind you that’s not really surprising given we’ve only won 2 of the last 8 league games.

What about the opposition?

Manager less after Steve Cotterill ditched them for the wonders of Sunderland.

No replacement as yet so remains to be seen if they will be in limbo or very much up for the challenge of a ‘localish’ battle.

Stoke have only lost once at home in the league (Leicester) but are draw specialists.

Key men include forward Andy Cooke and the to be recalled Brynjar Gunnarsson.

Soon to follow:

Grimsby at home – another match that we just have to win in current conditions.

Score Prediction:

Not any easy one to predict after a two-week break and so much going on behind the scenes at Stoke.

With Butler suspended probably Rae will lead the Wolves team out.

Also mooted is a debut for Mark Clyde in central defence after impressive displays on loan at Kidderminster and also in the Northern Irish Under-21 team.

However, given the importance of the game for Jones, he might think this is not the game to blood the youngster.

We could also see Cameron back but more likely role is as a substitute.

Edworthy to start in front of Naylor and who knows up front with Blake.

Man of the moment Murray deservedly keeping the number one jersey – possibly in for another busy afternoon.

I’ll take a draw – let’s not embarrass ourselves in front of a national viewing public.

Come on the Wolves!
