Time to push on in the play-off place hunt.

Scenario:

Wolves are in 6th position.

Ipswich, after Sunday’s win over Norwich, are now in 8th, 7 points behind with a game in hand on us.

What about the opposition?

Well it was a magnificent result a couple of weeks ago to get the three points from Portman Road.

However, Ipswich should not be underestimated.

They have some pacey young players that have been attracting the attentions of the Premiership.

Darren Bent, Ambrose, Tommy Miller will all prove a handful. I think that Pablo Counago is not playing tonight so relief there.

In midfield Jim Magilton and Matt Holland will be looking to pull the strings.

In defence Fabian Wilnis is a big player for Miller and one more to get past.

They generally do not travel well – let’s hope the trip back to Suffolk is a pointless one.

Soon to follow for Wolves:

Southampton in the Cup on Sunday.

Trips to Reading and Portsmouth in quick succession.

Score Prediction:

We need another 3 points tonight.

A defeat would close us up with the chasing pack.

As well with 3 awful away fixtures coming up, we need to get maximum advantage from playing in front of our own crowd.

Ipswich will be buoyed by the victory at Carrow Road and will be looking to get revenge for the home defeat.

Expect it to go right to the wire before any result is settled.

With Ndah injured, it remains to be seen who Jones will go for as a replacement – my money is on Proudlock for at least 60 minutes.

Enjoy the match.

Come on the Wolves!
