The end is near

Well Easter has just served to confirm what we already knew long ago - Wolves aren't up to the challenge of the Premiership.

Two late goals in both games turned 4 points into just the 1 and the gap is far too large to now bridge.

The last few weeks have been really disappointing. The tenacious home form seems a thing of the past and the inability to prevent goals on our travels has undermined our new found ability to score them.

The game at Eastlands was a classic. It was the best away game that I've been to all season. Follow that on Monday with being beaten by a very ordinary Bolton side and that sums the season up.

We now have five games left and let's hope we can salvage some pride and get a last couple of victories for the long-suffering fans.

It seems unlikely that we will gain an away victory all season - meaning we'll have the worst record in all four divisions. Can we add to the five home wins against Boro, Everton and Spurs ? Well, I'd hope we beat at least one of these teams - probably Spurs on the last day of the season.

However, it seems that we are going to end the season on a disappointing points haul of around 30.

The false dawn in February seems like a thing of the past now.

Perhaps it's time to look to the future and bring in some youngsters and see if they can help with the season in the Nationwide next season.

Personally, it would just be nice to go to a home game as favorites to win for a change!
