Preston Game Postponed

Wolves game against Preston this Sunday at Molinuex has been called off due to International call-ups.

The game, which was scheduled to be in front of the Sky Cameras and kick off at 1.05pm, has not yet been rescheduled.

Wolves were able to request a postponement after three first team players were called up for their countries for International games this weekend.

The three players are Ivar Ingimarsson for Iceland, Nathan Blake for Wales and finally Joleon Lescott, who was called up to the England U-21 squad earlier today.

Wolves return to league action on the 14th September when we go back to Selhurst Park to play Crystal Palace. Our next game though is the Worthington Cup 1st round clash with Swansea a week on Wednesday. That game will be televised on Sky.

On a side note, I went to yesterday's International game between India and Jamaica, and despite a 0-0 scoreline, it was quite a good game.

The passing play of both teams was excellent, but like Wolves occasions, the end product wasn't there.

I am not sure of the exact attendance, but their was quite a few thousand that filled the Jack Harris Stand, Lower John Ireland and upper Billy Wright.

With a Reggae and Bangra Band there to represent their respective sides, it made for a very good and very loud carnival atmosphere.
