Play-off ticket stampede.

Last updated : 20 May 2003 By Dave Burgess

33,500 tickets going, going, gone?

With 18,000 season ticket holders, I reckon 3,000 members and the buy 4 get one extra offer; the general public are looking to get their hands on 10,000 remaining tickets when they are released.

Ticket fever has therefore hit Wolverhampton in a big way.

Bulletin boards, friends, relatives and even strangers are asking if there are any spare tickets to be bought at an inflated price.

Considering we had the second highest average attendance in the division of 25,745, everyone isn’t going to be able to get in to see the game.

This is after all the closest that Wolves have ever been to the Premiership.

Just 90, or even 120, minutes, from participating in the most entertaining domestic league in the world.

Rumours are that the top priced tickets - £48 & £42, have already sold out. However, even a relatively decent view at £26 beats watching it on Sky at home!

Cardiff is going to be rammed this weekend that’s for sure.

3 divisional play-offs, 1 team travelling all of ½ mile and a bank holiday to boot. It’s going to be one hell of a party!

I’ve got my ticket, the £42 variety, and I’m finalising details of a stay over in Bristol the night before.

I can’t wait!
