No time to Potter.

Scenario:

Wolves are in 6th, having seen the gap closed at the weekend by Ipswich and Norwich.

Stoke are in danger of going straight back down. One of four teams chasing what looks like the only escape position of fourth from bottom.

What about the opposition?

Well Stoke have struggled all season.

They lost Steve Cotterill early on this season, moving on to his ill-fated spell at Sunderland, but even then they were struggling.

Tony Pulis seems to be concentrating on stopping the goals being conceded realising that his attacking options aren’t rich.

Top scorer in the league is Andy Cooke on just 5 goals. The injured Chris Iwelumo has 7 in all competitions. Also unlikely to feature tonight is Chris Greenacre who has been dogged by injury since his summer move from Mansfield. Former Wolves player Lee Mills is ruled out having been involved in a car crash.

The last five games involving Stoke have seen just 3 goals scored in total so don’t expect fireworks tonight.

Mark Crossley will be in goal and will want to prove he still has it.

Soon to follow for Wolves:

Gillingham on Saturday then a bit of a break due to the internationals.

Score Prediction:

Stoke may play one up front and we know how badly we play against teams that come to defend. Wise tactics by Mr.Pulis? We shall find out.

News is coming out of the Molineux that the list of absentees on Saturday will be reduced.

Blake will still be missing so the partnership of Deano and Miller will have to find a way past a packed Stoke defence.

A repeat of the 2-0 victory at the Britannia Stadium would fit the bill but I think it’s going to be another frustrating night at the Molineux.

Come on the Wolves!
