Muscat's Move No Surprise

In my opinion Kevin Muscat's move to Rangers came as no surpise to me and many others.

Ever since Ranger's boss Alex McGleish made an appearence at Fratton Park at our televised game at Portsmouth, everyone was speculating who he could be looking at. He definitely wasn't looking at Dave Beasent or any other Portsmouth player, so everyone wondered who he was looking at. Several names were thrown around, like Cameron, Rae and Lescott and surpising to some people at the time, Kevin Muscat.

We didn't really see much of Mr McGleish after that but rumours were still flying around and it was reported that Muscat had signed a pre-contract agreement.

Ever since his sending-off at Grimsby, the game that started our downfall, he has not figured in the team. It was clear that things weren't well between Jones and the man he axed as captain, and as Jones revealed last week, he knew Muscat had signed an agreement to join Rangers and wouldn't figure in the team after that.

That is a fair enough point from our manager because he, along with all the fans will have been hurt by the way Muscat has gone about this move.

Strange as it may sound though, Muscat may be back at Molineux sometime soon, as talks are going on again between the Football League and the Auld Firm teams to join the Football League!
