Loss of Super Jo a major blow

Well I'd expected as much but the club have officially announced that Super Jo won't be able to help us out this season.

Since playing in the play-off final at Cardiff we've not seen our inspirational centre back.

The initial operation was hailed a success but in his attempts to gain match fitness a second, unrelated problem, has ended his season.

It's a real loss as Super Jo wasn't voted fans player of the season for nothing last season.

His pace, calmness on the ball and fantastic game reading skills will be sorely missed as the season wears on.

Butler and Craddock have done a great job to date but they will eventually have to succumb to injury or suspension.

With Luzhny and Okoronkwo having done nothing to impress Jones they can make the step up to the Premiership we may yet need further defensive reinforcements.

If we are unable to retain our Premiership status it will further compound Jo's agony at missing out having been involved on a match by match basis for the last three seasons.

With more bad news on the injury front with Ndah, Wolves are being stretched even thinner by these losses.

It seems that Ince and Irwin will now not get time for a breather and will play the majority of the 38 Premiership games. If they, and the other key players can last the distance time will only tell.
