Jones rightly named as manager of the month

Dave Jones has quite rightly been named as the Nationwide Manager of the month for February.

With six straight wins it must have been the easiest decision the panel of judges had to reach and is the second time this season that Jones has taken the accolade.

However, the award does come with the reputation of being something of a poisoned chalice as many a manager to receive the award have subsequently gone on to lose the next match.

With this in mind Gillingham travel up from Kent tomorrow to try and repeat their F.A. Cup success over Wolves in January. On that occasion a strike from Paul Shaw knocked Wolves out of the third round.

However, with Wolves current form and Gillingham having back-to-back defeats it seems hard to see how Andy Hessentaler's men can stop the Wanderers express from bulldozing their way to another three points.

No injury problems are reported so it will be the same side that has been scoring for fun in the last 2 games. Andrews and Miller will take their places on the bench and will be ready to take their chances if some players don't perform.

We could also witness the return of Simon Osborn. Released last year by Wolves, Osborn has gone via Tranmere and Port Vale to end up with Gills. A player that splits fans opinions, will be keen to prove his point.

As well, the ticket office were issuing warnings as to ticket availability and no tickets will be available on the day.

I'll be in the Stan Cullis tomorrow after my brief sojourn into the John Ireland for the Walsall match.

I'd like to thank the two people I sat between for the chocolate éclair sweets and half-time cup of coffee.

Tomorrow however, I'll be singing my heart out for the lads and hopefully seeing Wolves take 3 more points towards the Premiership.

Enjoy the match
