Jones Hits Back At Branch

Wolves Boss Dave Jones has hit back at Michael Branch after the transfer listed striker spoke out in the Express & Star this week about his Molineux 'hell.'

In an article entitled 'Branch: End My Hell At Molineux' the Liverpudlian said he is dissapointed with the way he has been treated and can't wait to move on.

Branch said: "I just want to get away. It does my head in and I'd be lying to say it doesn't.

"I can't wait to get away, which is a horrible thing to say because I love the fans and they took to me" said the former Everton striker.

He continued: "But I've got no future here, the gaffer's told me that. This is definitely the lowest point of my career."

Branch said he has had offers but none that suited him. He added that he was mostly annoyed by training on his own and if Jones explained the reason for this treatment he'd be fine - so that led to the boss speaking out.

Jones said: "Sometimes players need to do what they are paid for and that's play football - rather than spouting off. It seems to be a disease in the football world.

"I can't place him (find a club for him). I've got three phones and none of them are ringing."

Jones added: "My shoulders are broad - I'm sure he means well but I don't kick the ball. Players need to do the talking with their feet."

So, with one year left on his contract, Branch's hell is set to continue until then, unless he can find himself a club before that time.

I do feel sorry for the player, he tried his best when he pulled on a Wolves shirt, but we have better players at the club. Simple as that.
