Ince inspirational as Wolves bash Norwich.

If it hadn’t been for some inspired keeping by Robert Green Wolves would surely have won this promotion cruncher by more than just one goal.

The stats show that Wolves had 8 shots on target in comparison to just the one from Norwich.

The goal that separated the sides came from new-boy Cole who finished coolly when a Kennedy cross from the left came his way.

Cole’s celebrations needs some work on but let’s hope we get to see it several times more before he eventually goes back to Chelsea.

However, it was a tiggerish midfield display from Ince and Rae that helped Wolves to far more possession and the space to create chances for Cole and Miler.

Some fantastic ball skills from Kennedy, hard work from Cooper and once we went in front you couldn’t see Norwich getting back into the game.

The defence was also in top form when required, Lescott especially showing the superb tackling and anticipation that had been lacking earlier in the season when partnered with Butler.

So from 1 to 11 all players played their part.

The full debut of Cole proved to be an inspired choice by Jones as although he clearly has a lot to learn he showed enough promise to suggest he will be a star in the Premiership. Great ball control, a bit too much arrogance but speed and holding the ball up like Blake, he brought the midfield into the attacking equations.

Ince was awesome.

Tackling like a teenager, you had to wince at some of the times he threw his legs into a melee of boots. However, winning the central midfield battle unlocked Wolves wide men to support the forwards and show more creativity than we did seven days ago at Rotherham.

Apart from late scares in injury time, caused by the referee more than Norwich, I never feared we would lose the 3 points even though the advantage was slender.

Norwich, it is clear, have a problem playing away from Carrow Road, as they didn’t look like a team in 4th place before kick-off. Roberts and McVeigh fortunately suffered from a lack of supply and Matt Murray had little to do apart from collect the odd cross.

So up to sixth and another home game to come, extending the unbeaten run to ten games, it’s all coming good for Wolves.

Come on the Wolves!
