Huge point at Portsmouth

Another battling performance, combined with a bit of luck, saw Wolves come away from the south coast with another vital point.

In windswept conditions, Wolves held the hosts and kept that points difference at just one win.

With Leicester being thrashed by Villa, Wolves are now level on points with the 18th placed team.

We are now within touching distance of Blackburn and Man City too so there is definitely something for us to aim for.

We may have taken until January to get to grips with the Premiership, but we are able to compete on even terms with the majority of the clubs in this division now.

Given that we have some pretty straightforward home games, aside from Arsenal, if we can continue to make home advantage pay, 17th place could be ours come the end of the season.

A win at Leeds in 10 days time is vital. Sure everyone else is probably going to beat them as well now, but to get that first away win would be a massive psychological boost.

After that Fulham at home then Leicester away - the right fixtures at the right time.

If we can avoid further injuries and bans and get the fringe players back then I don't believe we could have a better chance of avoiding the drop.

It's a quite whispering at the moment, being written off for so long makes you check your optimism. However, we've started the battle tremendously. Shoring up the defence has been a major difference. Paul Jones yesterday proved the doubters, of which I was one, that he was worth the investment. With a more match fitness then Cort could be the man to show his true value and prove he's still got what it takes.

It's certainly going to be a rollercoaster ride in to the end of the season.

Get ready for a gripping finale in that last game versus Spurs!!!

Come on the Wolves!
