First real derby of the season

Wolves play their first 'real' derby at home on live TV at lunchtime.

With the hosts fourth from bottom and the visitors fourth from top there is a big contrast in the fortunes of the sides as they start the game.

However, as we know the form book goes out of the window when local pride is at stake.

Wolves are hit heavily by injuries to key players as well as squad players which is bound to take it's toll. Cameron, Blake, Murray are the main omissions so it means Jones will have to rely on a non-optimal starting eleven to take on a team in form.

Blues have been superb so far this season. With the exception of defeat at Old Trafford they've been a surprise package. The basis for this has been the tightness of the defence, in contrast to our own. However, Blues aren't the biggest scorers with the on-loan Forssell having bagged four of the ten league goals this season.

However, whenever I've seen Wolves play the Blues we've generally come out on top.

The performance at Boro last Saturday will need to be forgotten and Wolves will need to display the sort of qualities shown in the six matches prior to that game.

Personally, I think that the visitors will have too much quality for even a superb battling display by us.

We just don't look like having a reliable scoring outlet. Miller is playing out of position, Iversen is a disaster and Camara is still learning. Without Cameron there is no real threat from central midfield.

Blues won 1-0 at Bolton a fortnight ago and I think that they will edge us out by similar margin tomorrow.

However, we live in hope!

Come on the Wolves!
