FA Cup 3rd Round: Wolves vs. Newcastle!

It is always exciting to watch the FA Cup 3rd Round draw on TV, until you see that Wolves have drawn a poor third division or a team in our division, like Darlington away in 1998 when we eventually reached the Semi Finals or last year when we drew Gillingham at home and lost.

But finally, Wolves have got an exciting draw as Newcastle United will visit Molineux on the weekend of January 4th. Some may disagree and say that a smaller team would be better to progress, but I'm not bothered. Our main focus should be the league and this is our chance to compete against a Premiership side in a competitive game.
Of course, Wolves have already faced Newcastle this year, in a pre-season friendly when we lost 2-0 at Molineux, but that was only a friendly and in as the legend Sir Bobby Robson takes the FA Cup very seriously expect to see all the stars.

We'll be able to watch Michael Oakes, Paul Butler..... Oh, hang on, wrong team.
Seriously though, Shearer, Robert, Dyer and Bellamy - who last time he was at Molineux with Norwich got hacked down by Kevin Muscat - will all be on show.

So even if we do get thrashed it will be a good test and a great atmosphere is to be expected.

Meanwhile, after a great display from Wolves against promotion rivals Norwich, Molineux will be expecting another win against local rivals Coventry.

I reckon we can get the win against Gary McAllister's men, but dare I predict the score, seeing as I haven't got one right yet!

Sod it! 2-1 to Wolves.

C'mon Wolves!
