Enter into the Lions den on Saturday.

Scenario:

Think of somewhere you’d really not like to go, double it and you are some way short of a trip to Millwall.

Wolves lie in 7th, Millwall well down the table in 17th.

However, there are only 7 points between the teams.

Millwall definitely enjoy the challenge of a ‘big team’ coming onto their patch and do their best to make sure they don’t take anything out of south London with them on the coach home (usually minus the windows).

Three home defeats, to Walsall, Rotherham and Forest show that they are vulnerable but don’t expect them to be this generous Saturday.

The game is on beamback to the Molineux, expect to hear the clash of shinpads between Incey and Wise all the way from the New Den.

What about the opposition?

Well Millwall have under-performed in comparison to last season.

They’ve not really scored the amount of goals required to get themselves into the top-half of the table with only 24 from 23 league games.

They still rely on our old foe, Steve Claridge, to do the business up front but at 36 he surely won’t be able to get the better of Lescott and Clyde.

Dennis Wise will look forward to a midfield battle with Rae and Ince and their defence will strong arm Cole probably out of the match.

Mark McGhee will once again be out to prove that Wolves were wrong to sack him – even a 300-0 defeat wouldn’t convince us of that though.

Soon to follow for Wolves:

Burnley away - who we have had the ‘Indian sign’ over in recent years having won there 3-2 towards the end of last season.

Bradford home – who won for the first time in ages last Saturday.

Score Prediction:

I don’t expect Millwall to gift-wrap us three points as a nice Christmas present. More likely to leave us with key players missing for the rest of the festive season.

This is a real test of character for any opposition player as the home fans certainly don’t make you welcome.

If Wolves players are going to hide then this is where they’ll do it.

Thankfully, Incey seems destined to play and will now what is required to get on top in the middle of the pitch.

After last season’s 1-0 defeat we have something to prove.

However, after Coventry I don’t think we have the players with the commitment and bottle to do it.

Best we can hope for is a draw.

Come on the Wolves!
