Carlton Cole signs on loan.

Great news today!

Carlton Cole has signed on loan as cover for the forwards.

Cole joins us from Chelsea until the New Year and if you don’t know who he is then just take my word – he’s excellent!

Some people may have seen his goal this season for Chelsea against Charlton on the first day of the season and will know what I’m on about.

Tall, fast and the sort of player who knows where the goal is, this represents an excellent bit of work from Jez Moxey and Dave Jones to bring him into the club.

True, he might not have the experience of targets like Ferdinand or Stewart, but this boy is destined to be big news in the Premiership for years to come.

Rotherham will be cursing their luck that Cole might be starting in the Sky showdown on Saturday.

Deano is still struggling but now that we have a quality replacement there is no need to push him through the pain barrier to play at Millmoor.

Cole was also on target twice in the League Cup match against Gillingham and his record stands at 3 appearances, plus 4 as a substitute and 3 goals.
