Wolves on the up

The hosts were ahead after just 116 seconds as a four-man move culminated in Matt Jarvis scoring his fourth goal of the season. Ronald Zubar, David Edwards and Adam Hammill combined to set up Jarvis, who curled his shot beyond Richard Kingson.

Just over two minutes from the interval, any hope of a Blackpool comeback suffered a setback when leading scorer DJ Campbell over-reacted to a shove in his back from Richard Stearman by pushing the centre-back in the face and referee Neil Swarbrick brandished the red card.

Wolves made their numerical advantage count after the break as Jamie O'Hara added a second and Blackpool conceded a third 12 minutes from time when Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, who had replaced Zubar just after O'Hara's strike, tapped home a cross.

Ebanks-Blake then took his tally to six for the season with a left-foot drive beyond Kingson to make sure.
