Wolves appoint a new Academy Manager

Kevin Thelwell who has left the relegation struck Derby County, to join Championship outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers. Kevin will take on the role of academy manager to start on Monday 14th April 2008.


Chris Evans the former Wolves academy manager, who had been with Wolves since 1990. He had left Wolves to join Bolton Wanderers back in November 2007, to take on a similar role but as a
Performance Director.


Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said when Chris left the club, he wouldn't be appointing just anyone and it would be a long process for the right man. So 5 months later he has appointed the right man, by the name of Kevin Thelwell.

Kevin briefly took charge of Derby's first-team earlier this season, when Billy Davies was sacked for his poor form in the Premiership. Kevin has also previously worked for Preston North End and the Welsh Football Association during his career.
