"I'd love to stay at Wolves but I am not hopeful - in fact I am quite the opposite," he told the Express & Star.
"I've been here for five years and it's a very homely place and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
"If there's an opportunity to stay I would certainly welcome it, but I fully understand why negotiations haven't taken place so far and those reasons I will keep to myself
"I have no arguments with anyone at the club and I understand the situation."
