Stearman is reaping the benefits of an extended run in the side alongside Christophe Berra in the absence of Jody Craddock.
The former Leicester player put pen to paper on a new deal earlier in the week and has ambitions to eventually play for his country.
Stearman said: "I feel I've come on leaps and bounds since I arrived at Wolves. This is the first time I've had a sustained run in the Premier League in my natural position of centre-half.
"I hope I'm rewarding the gaffer (Mick McCarthy) for keeping faith in me and I aspire to get better.
"I want to continue playing for Wolves in the Premier League - but I've got international aspirations as well."
