Wolves sold the Nigerian interational midfelder to The Potters last summer but he has failed to command a regular place in the Stoke side this season fueling speculation that he could return to Wolves on an emargency loan deal.

"That is right off the cuff," McCarthy told the Birmingham Sunday Mercury.

"I have never discussed that at all.

"We have got our squad together."
