McCarthy: West Brom Deserved To Win

"We were beaten by a stronger squad and a stronger team," the Wolves boss said after the 3-0 defeat at The Molineux.

"I am not happy about that but sometimes you have to hold your hands up and admit it.

"But at the end of the day I don't know how much they have had over the last three or four years from being promoted, staying up, going down and going back up so they are entitled to have a better team.

"I am disappointed that we did not compete better and have a better game with them. The first two goals we gave away did not give us a platform to build on at all.

"They were better, no argument, no question. Of course it is worse because it is the team from down the road.

"I am not feeling great for them (the fans) this afternoon but now we head to Norwich on Tuesday and try and improve."
