McCarthy Rues Dropped Points

A win against The Canaries at Molineux on Tuesday evening would have seen Wolves move seven clear at the top of the Coca-Cola Championship but they had to settle for just a share-of-the-spoils after a 3-3 draw against The Canaries.

"There's some good points in it and some really awful points," McCarthy said after the match.

"Our defending was awful, our response was fantastic, the spirit of the players was great.

"It's two points dropped. Even giving them a goal as awful as we gave them we still had chances before half-time.

"Great goal from Corty but we're in possession and we lose it, but then they should have scored a third before we got in front.

"And then to get in front and concede from a corner the way we did was dreadful."

"We're not just going to wipe the floor with people just because it was Norwich and they're fighting in the bottom half.

"We've still got to play Barnsley, Charlton, Southampton and Doncaster. They're all below us but they're fighting for points to stay in the League, it doesn't make it easy."
