McCarthy Praise For Potter

Potter, who is close to turning his season long loan deal into a permanent move, scored his first goal for the club in the 2-0 win at Boundary Park to set up a Black Country derby game against West Brom in Round 4.

"When it came to him, he didn't half nail it and it was a fabulous strike," McCarthy said after the game. "

He's been terrific and what epitomises him is that he came over and did a great job on the right side and did his shift.

"We've agreed the fee and that's not going to change and we've got an agreement with Darren. I'm very pleased if that's the case.
