"Although this is obviously a setback for Matt, the surgeon and our medical team are pleased with how the surgery went and are all confident he will make a full recovery," Wolves' head of medical services Steve Kemp told the club's official website
"Matt is no stranger to these sort of setbacks in his rehabilitation with previous injuries, but he has never let such things hold him back.
"I have no doubt he will again remain positive and show the high levels of professionalism and strength of character he is renowned for to continue his recovery."
