The Wolves keeper, who has not played since the defeat against Preston North End in the middle of last month, has a back injury and not even surgeons can put a timescale on how long it will take to heel.

"It's still bothering me and I can't really put a timescale on it, but I still think it's going to be a few weeks," he told the Express & Star.

"I've had three or four scans on it. A few problems have shown up and I need to rest. The physios are still trying to find out exactly what's wrong.

"It's my lower back, around my spine, it's still hurting.

"We'll probably rest again and try it again in a couple of weeks, or maybe rest again and have it re-scanned. Then hopefully the hot spots we're talking about will have settled down.

"But I've got to wait until the scans are clear and the symptoms completely go before I start training again.

"It's a weird one. If you break your leg, you know you'll be out for x-amount of time but with this injury it's a case of how long is a piece of string."
