Hoddle Rues Bad Luck

Hoddle was upset with the penalty that allowed Derby to bring the game back to 2-2.

With Wolves leading 2-1, Paul Peschisolido was tripped by Edwards, Idiakez put away the penalty only for it to be retaken for encroachment by a Derby player.

Michael Oakes saved the second spot-kick, but again the referee ordered a retake, and after the keeper was booked, Idiakez put Derby level.

Carl Cort then looked to have secured all three points for Wolves when he gave them a 3-2 lead in the last minutes of the game but in the second minute of added time, a free-kick was headed against the Wolves crossbar by Grzegorz Rasiak and Marco Reich put away the rebound.

"I think I must have run over six black cats since I've been at Wolves," Hoddle said afer the 3-3 draw at Pride Park.

"I didn't think it was a penalty in the first place. That's my opinion but that doesn't matter much, then the farcical stuff started.

"I believe the first retake was for encroachment and then Michael Oakes made a magnificent save but the ref gave another retake. It was inevitable that they would score.

"In my opinion it was poor decisions and they've gone against us."
