Hoddle dissatisfied with "toothless" performance

After watching Wolves crash to their first league defeat in 21 games, Glenn Hoddle this afternoon was left frustrated and 'irritated' by his side's inability to capitalise on their chances. Speaking after the match Hoddle said:

"I won't go OTT about this defeat because it's not as thought we were battered, but there are things we need to improve."

"They capitalised on our mistakes but for the majority of the first 45 minutes we looked like the home team and were in control of the game."

"But we didn't show enough individual character to overcome Leeds. We didn't win our one-on-one battles."

"Kenny (Miller) was unfortunate. He hit the bar and he's getting closer and closer all the time. It's frustrating for the lad."

"But we lacked a killer edge the same as we did at Southampton. If it becomes a pattern it will be worrying. I don't think it's something that can be solved by simply going out and buying a striker."

However, with 10 days left of the current transfer window Wolves fans will be hoping that Hoddle will be able to further strengthen the squad, particularly in the midfield and striking departments.
