Wolves captain Karl Henry was pleased to make his first start for almost two months in Tuesday's 5-0 FA Cup third round win against Doncaster Rovers. The 28-year-old midfielder has had a lengthy spell on the sidelines after injuring his knee in the 2-1 defeat at Blackpool on 20 November.

"I felt good and my knee was fine which is the main thing," he told BBC WM.

"It was my first game for a few months so it's always nice to come back, get a win and feel fine physically."

The Wolves skipper made his return to the first team after coming on as a substitute in the 4-3 defeat by Manchester City at the weekend.

Henry was part of a Wolves team that cruised into the fourth round of the FA Cup by comfortably disposing of Championship outfit Doncaster.

The game saw five different goal scorers for Mick McCarthy's side with Steven Fletcher, Geoffrey Mujangi Bia, Kevin Doyle, Matt Jarvis and David Jones all finding the net.

The victory ensures that Wolves will host fellow Premier League side Stoke in the fourth round of the competition, in a game that will be played on Sunday 30 January (kick-off 1300 GMT).

Wolves ran out 2-1 winners when the two teams met in the Premier League on the opening day of the season back in August.

Henry spent seven years at the Britannia Stadium, making over 100 appearances for the club, before making the move to Molineux in August 2006.
