Edwards Deal Not Done Yet

Contrary to reports that the deal to bring the Wales international defender was concluded, Wolves have revealed that there are slight complications regarding the players medical.

Edwards had an ankle problem last season and Wolves have confirmed that until the results of further tests are revealed the deal is on hold.

"The medical has shown up a slight problem that the boy's suffered with and it's only right that we get it properly checked out," Wolves manager Dave Jones told the clubs official website.

"We've sent him off to have a proper investigation with one of the country's top specialists and then, hopefully, he will be given the all clear so we can complete the signing.

"He can be a big signing for this club and we are keen for all this to be sorted out and everything to get back on track."
