Doyle is constantly praised for his work-rate and often leading the attack on his own in a 4-4-1-1 formation.
But he has become frustration at his lack of goals - until Sunday's double in the 3-3 draw with Tottenham.
"The work-rate Kevin puts in and quality he brings to the team is special," said Berra. "He holds the ball so well upfront and he gives defenders a hard time in the box so they can't get clean headers away.
"He deserved his goals on Sunday and hopefully it will give him more confidence and he can get more before the end of the season."
