(Fan's Blog) The Width of a Post

A big roar enveloped Molineux in the latter stages of the win over Plymouth. Blackpool has scored late on to beat a 10 man Watford.

Wrong! Blackpool had hit a post, metaphorically, the same post that Sheffield United hit against Wigan.

There will be some that will say, that's the sort of luck Wolves always get. Maybe so, maybe not.

Perhaps you have to earn your luck, maybe we didn't ( based on this season's performances) earn a big enough dollop!.

The day after the game I am more philosphical about missing out on the playoffs and or promotion than I thought I would be.

Our team is not good enough. Is our manager is good enough?

It's hard enough adjusting to life in the top flight even with quality additions to the playing staff when you have a first team that

might be three quarters Premier class and you have won the fizzy by miles. We have a third of a Premiership team at best, and less in squad terms

The class, with class being the operative word, of 2008/9 should be of sufficient quality, depth and flair to make going for one of the two automatic spots a realistic propsect as opposed to a mid table playoff scramble and praying for another team to do us a favour on the last day of the season.

It will take an investment of Morgan Money, Morgan Machismo  and Morgan Management to set us up for the big push.

Money for the right players. Machismo to tell potential Premier rapists to go away. Management to make the right calls.

Whether thats with the other MM in the Molineux Mixer or not, we will see over the next few days.

Now this season has ended, so has the Sir Jack era. It's a new Main Man now, minus manacles.

This fan wants Mr Morgan to match his 10 year vision with a managerial change to help get us where we all want to be

without having to curse about the width of someone else's wood.
