Let's Take Advantage Of The Break

Wolves form has been dire in the last month or so, but we now have 11 days to prepare for our next game after the cancellation of the Portsmouth game due to Internationals.

It is kind of lucky, because our form compared with Portsmouth's couldn't be any more different, so we probably would have got hammered.

The next game is now Stoke City, away, which will not be easy, but at least we have extra time to prepare, so let's use it!!

We need to work on the whole team working as a unit. If it works why not use the weekend break and take the team on a 'morale boosting' trip to a Health Farm or something stupid like that!

Something like Paintballing has been described, by football managers, as a good team builder, but I suppose, Oakes would drop his gun, Rae would be too lethal and our strikers would miss all their intended targets!

I don't normally agree with that sort of method, but it is worth doing, because it might just work!!

Obviously the majority of people will not agree with my idea, rather prefering them to get out on the training pitch night and day and work hard.

Maybe, but as Dave Jones has been trying to say, it is about morale and confidence. They are footballers and it is pretty much the same team as last year so we know they can play! Maybe we could practice new things but I think the whole squad needs to do something together, while also working hard at training but also more importantly, sitting down, watching tapes of their own individual performance, making notes and working on the areas that need improving.

Maybe then they can appreciate what we have to go through!

They certainly need to pull their fingers out and at least try and give 110%, especially a certain Mr. Ince, who I am told by one of my sources at Molineux, turned up for Saturday's game, walked in to the treatment room, sat on a sofa and said 'I can't be arsed to warm up today!'

It is players like him who disgust me. He is picking up high wages and even though he has won loads of trophies and played for England, if he 'can't be arsed' then he should leave now!

We need players who want to play. If we have already blown our season then stick the youngsters in, because they will want to play and at three quarters less in wages per week!

Things are looking dire at Molineux, but hopefully we can take advantage of this break we have been given!

C'mon Wolves!!
