The 26-year-old has not featured this season because of a hamstring problem, but enjoyed opening the scoring against his former club.
“It was nice to be back and it felt good to score,” he told the club’s official website.
“Even at reserve level it was great to score against my old team. I was excited to be out on the pitch.”
Cort has made just 16 appearances for Wolves since his £2million move from the Magpies in January, scoring five times.
